Yes, I washed my hair with the twists still in, making sure the ends were secured so they wouldn't unravel. I just wanted to rock the style for a while before taking them down and so when I needed to wash my hair in that interim, I did so and then a day (I believe) after <em>that</em> wash, I took them down.
